Welcome to this quick craft session at WasteMeansMore.

Here, we feature Ann as she shows us how to upcycle pet bottles into simple pencil cases that are attractive and safe for classroom, home, and office use...in just 5 easy steps!
For this, you would need:
1. Two empty PET bottles
2. A pair of scissors
3. A heat gun or preferred glue.
4. A zipper
5. Any piece of old fabric.
and lastly, your creative spark!
Step 1: First, peel off the labels from the bottles and ensure they are well-balanced.
Step 2: Mark a cutline and cut PET bottles into two, such that the base of one bottle is slightly longer than the other.
The longer part would be the top of the pencil case, while the shorter cut serves as the base of the pencil case.
Step 3: Using the hot glue, stick the zipper to the trim of the cut pet bottles allowing the zip line to be revealed as shown in the image.

Step 4: After a moment, try standing the case and running the zip to test that all is in place.
Step 5: With your preferred fabric, cut a long strip and wrap it around the case to cover the zipper behind the surface of the bottle.

You can adorn them with beads, or studs by sticking them as desired.
There you go! , These Upcycled pet bottles are now ready to store stationery and even have handy when you're on the go!

*(The choice of Coca-Cola PET was used here because they were observed to withstand the hot glue better.)

I'm definitely teaching my kids at school this. Wow!
