Enjoy this beautiful piece from Treasure Ekama!

Here, he uses poetry to describe his little, new decision to treat the environment better.

Since "Waste is a little big thing" the following lines show his pledge to avoid littering. He calls this, I AM MINUS ONE!

I drop it!

I always do!

Anywhere,

without guilt,

Out of the can, let it go!

As soon as it's sold,

Its old!

Plus one!

No big thing, No big deal!

When it rained the other night,

We were out for a drink again!

"You had to see the flood!"

"Our Government has failed!"

"...drains?" "No link!"

"Too shallow, too slim!"

But the next thing I saw,

shot me off from this dream.

"My can? Plus one.

Peter's can!

Walter's and Tessy's?

Plus another one....

A blockade had began,

Just like us,

together, they were strong!

Sadly, friends now need boats,

to sail across their faults!

So I redo the math,  I'm minus one!

..and a preacher thus:

that to litter a little is Big!

That waste is a little BIG THING!

-Treasure Ekama
